SATEL radio modems are mainly used in this field to monitor gas compression and pressure reduction stations. They can provide extensive radio coverage by acting as data links for local RTUs and relaying messages to other modems. These modems are also versatile for controlling devices like boiler controllers (for gas temperature settings after pressure reduction) and injection gas odorisers (for THT concentration and odouriser reset).
